The Yukon Business Nominee Program lets a foreign entrepreneur start or buy a business in Yukon and earn a provincial nomination toward permanent residence. It requires a personal net worth of at least $500,000, liquid assets of at least $300,000, and a plan to invest at least $300,000 of capital in the Yukon business within two years, holding at least one-third ownership. Candidates score points on investment, net worth, experience, language, and prior visits, and need at least 65 points. Nominees run the business on a work permit and must live in Yukon year-round by year two.
