Veterans Affairs Canada provides personalized rehabilitation and vocational assistance to eligible veterans whose move to civilian life is affected by a service-related health problem. The vocational side includes employability assessments, career counselling, training, and support that can include a self-employment path for veterans who want to start their own business. Approved participants work one-on-one with a VAC case manager and a referred rehabilitation partner to build a plan. Funding covers training and re-establishment costs rather than paying out a fixed grant.
