An Ontario incentive for larger commercial, institutional and industrial energy-efficiency upgrades including HVAC, lighting controls, motors, variable frequency drives and manufacturing equipment. A prescriptive track pays fixed amounts for named measures, and a custom track pays the greater of $1,800 per kW of peak demand reduced or $0.20 per kWh saved, up to 50% of eligible project cost. Regional adders can double incentives in certain areas.
Review times vary by program, from a few weeks to a few months, so check the official page for its timeline. Grant money is usually paid after you sign a funding agreement, and cost-shared programs often reimburse you once you send proof of what you spent.
