The Metis Voyageur Development Fund (MVDF) is a Metis-owned and controlled economic development lender that provides financing of up to $1,500,000 to Metis entrepreneurs operating in Ontario, across all industries. It offers better rates and fewer restrictions than commercial lenders, plus non-repayable support for developing a business plan as part of the loan application and ongoing business support. Eligible businesses must be at least 50% beneficially owned by a recognized Metis citizen and operate as a for-profit enterprise in Ontario. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
