PEI Share Purchase Tax Credit

This Prince Edward Island credit gives investors a 35 percent personal income tax rebate, up to $35,000, for buying eligible shares in qualifying PEI corporations. The company must be privately held, active in a strategic sector like manufacturing, ICT, aerospace, or life sciences, and permanently established in PEI with at least three-quarters of its payroll in the province. The company applies to Innovation PEI for a certificate that investors then use to claim the rebate.
