Southwestern Ontario Development Fund

An Ontario program supporting established businesses that invest in growth, productivity, and new markets in southwestern Ontario. Funding is usually an interest-free loan of up to 15% of eligible project costs to a maximum of $5 million, with up to 30% (to $500,000) forgivable if investment and job targets are met. Grants up to $500,000 are available in limited cases for smaller rural companies. Businesses generally need three years of operations, at least 10 employees (5 in rural areas), and a project investment of at least $500,000 (or $200,000 rural). This funding cannot be stacked with other provincial programs.
