Louis Riel Capital Corporation: Business Grant & Loan Program

A Métis-owned lender, backed by a federal funding agreement with Indigenous Services Canada, that finances the start-up, expansion, or acquisition of Red River Métis-owned businesses in Manitoba. It combines commercial loans with non-repayable grants on eligible costs such as equipment, leasehold improvements, marketing, and early operating expenses. Projects generally start above $40,000, and owners must put in at least 10 percent of project costs in non-borrowed cash.
