A City of Hamilton matching grant for permanent improvements to commercial or mixed-use properties in designated commercial districts such as Downtown Hamilton, Locke Street, Ottawa Street, Westdale and others. It funds exterior facade work, accessibility upgrades, property appearance improvements, and limited interior mechanical or ventilation work for restaurants. Grants are paid on a 50-50 matching basis, and both commercial property owners and businesses may apply. A separate graffiti removal grant is also available.
