City of Brampton Community Improvement Plan grants for landowners and businesses in the historic downtown core. The Facade Improvement Program offsets the cost of street-facing facade upgrades and the Building Improvement Program offsets costs of improvements to building systems and tenant space. Each program provides up to $30,000 per property at no more than 50% of eligible costs, so a single property can access up to $60,000 combined. Both application windows are open year-round on a first-come basis.
Review times vary by program, from a few weeks to a few months, so check the official page for its timeline. Grant money is usually paid after you sign a funding agreement, and cost-shared programs often reimburse you once you send proof of what you spent.
