Ecorecharge Charging Station Grant (Businesses and Organizations)

The Ecorecharge program reimburses businesses and organizations for installing Level 2 or direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations, including the electrical infrastructure work. The grant covers 50 percent of eligible expenses, capped per station, up to a maximum of $500,000 per site per business. Eligible costs include station purchase, installation labour and materials, electrical infrastructure, and oversizing for future needs. The program runs to March 31 2028.

  • Charging station purchase invoices
  • Installation and electrical work invoices
  • Proof work was done by a licensed electrical contractor

How to apply

  1. 1Confirm the station model is on the eligible list
  2. 2Prepare supporting documents and pay eligible expenses
  3. 3Submit the application through Ecorecharge online services (or an agreement for projects over $150,000)
