Community Economic Development and Diversification (CEDD)

Last verified: June 2026

PrairiesCan funds not-for-profit organizations that support community economic development and diversification across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, including co-operatives and social enterprises. Funding is generally a non-repayable contribution that reimburses eligible costs, though projects that generate revenue are funded only on a repayable basis. The program uses a two-stage continuous intake starting with an expression of interest. It has supported community-benefit projects such as childcare co-operative development.
