Ontario program that helps students aged 15 to 29 start and run a summer business. Participants get mentorship from local business leaders plus a grant of up to $3,000, paid as $1,500 up front for start-up costs and $1,500 after completing the program. Applicants must be returning to school in the fall and running a brand-new business.

What you'll need

  • Business plan
  • Cash flow projection
  • Proof of student status and age (15 to 29)

How to apply

  1. 1Apply through a Small Business Enterprise Centre before the May 15 deadline
  2. 2Submit a business plan and cash flow
  3. 3Attend an interview with your program provider
  4. 4Operate the business for the required minimum hours over the summer
