This program pays cash rebates to productions that film on location in the NWT. Rebates apply to money spent on NWT businesses and resident labour, with higher rates for scripted projects, plus a rebate on scheduled airline travel within the territory. Productions need an anticipated NWT spend of at least $100,000.
Review times vary by program, from a few weeks to a few months, so check the official page for its timeline. Grant money is usually paid after you sign a funding agreement, and cost-shared programs often reimburse you once you send proof of what you spent.
