Manitoba Book Publishing Tax Credit

A permanent, refundable Manitoba credit equal to 40% of eligible Manitoba labour costs for book publishers, including author advances and remuneration for editing, design, and project management. The maximum credit is $100,000 per publisher per year. An additional 15% bonus on Manitoba printing costs is available for books printed on paper with at least 30% recycled content.

What you'll need

  • Records of eligible Manitoba labour costs
  • Proof at least 25% of wages go to Manitoba residents
  • Documentation of at least two recently published qualifying books
  • Corporate tax return

How to apply
