Alberta Post-Production, Visual Effects and Digital Animation Grant (PPG)

An Alberta Media Fund grant that helps cover labour costs for Alberta companies doing post-production, visual effects, and digital animation work. It pays 18% of total eligible invoiced Alberta labour, up to $200,000 per organization per budget year. Eligible work includes video and audio editing, subtitling, sound and visual effects, and digital animation.

What you'll need

  • Front Office Registration form
  • Income statement and balance sheet (or T2125 for sole proprietors)
  • Alberta residency confirmations for employees
  • Project invoices

How to apply

  1. 1Review the PPG guidelines
  2. 2Set up an online profile via the Front Office Registration form
  3. 3Submit each eligible project within 60 days of the post-production end date
  4. 4Apply through the GATE system before the March 1 annual deadline
