Alberta Disability Related Employment Supports (DRES)

Last verified: June 2026

DRES funds the disability-related supports an Alberta worker needs to get into a job and stay in it, including job coaching, worksite modifications, and assistive technology. The program works in partnership with employers: the employer and DRES determine the disability-related needs and negotiate each party contribution toward the cost. Intake is continuous with no fixed deadline. For an Alberta employer, this is a way to cover accommodation costs for a current or prospective employee with a disability.
